WELCOME!

WELCOME!

Welcome back grade 3 and parents! I hope you all had a fantastic summer. My name is Mrs. Patton and I am looking forward to getting to know each other. I would like to view us as a TEAM and each and every person on our team is extremely important. As a team we will not allow anyone to stand alone and no team members will be left behind. Remember if we all work hard together we can accomplish anything together! I have created a EDU-BLOG for both our team and your parents to view.  Here I will post important information from our learning in class, helpful websites and also some fun games to explore. We only have one classroom and it is our classroom to share with each other. Let’s go TEAM!

Measurement

MEASUREMENT

Hello team. I am glad to here that many of you have found online worksheets and quizzes helpful. All of you worked very hard in your groups today on converting the different types of measurement units. Your math textbook has many great examples and I have also found a worksheet, which asks you to circle the right answer and give you a bit of a break. Remember if you are stuck or just want to check if your answers are right, feel free to bring them to class and we will take it up as a class together. Click Here to work on the worksheet.

I am very pleased to here that some of you have found that online quiz helpful and that you would like another one. Some of you have mentioned test or quizzes make you feel nervouse and that the online quiz makes you feel more relaxed. Well team, if online quizzes make you feel more comfortable to help you practice then I will post another one. Here I have an online quiz on measurement which is multiple choice. Click Here and relax and have fun with this practice quiz team.

Thank you team for your comments and suggestions. Remember we are a team and we will help each other as a team.

Understanding Structures and Mechanisms: Strong and Stable Structures

BRIDGES

Hello team. We are almost at the end of our unit and we have been learning a lot about the five different type of bridges and all the different types of materials they are made from. You all have created a great visual map of the five different types of bridges in great detail. All of you give yourself a pat on the back. We are only two days away from making our own bridges in our groups. I would like to share with you some other classes visual maps of the five different types of bridges that they have designed just as we have done early this week. Click Here to view examples of other students visual maps on the five different types of bridges. Click Here to review and reflect on the information about the five different type of bridges.
